He added: “We are going to open up the [order] system at the end of March or the beginning of April when we are officially going to present the car,” Winkelmann added. “Then over the next month all of the orders will be put in. But today it is already clear we are exceeding two years.”

Winkelmann noted that most people who ordered one had little to no information about the vehicle at the time they signed off on their purchase. They just knew it would be great sight unseen!
“The majority of the customers who have put their orders in have not even seen the car, they don’t even know [what it looks like],” he said.
